An Autumn Poem

An Autumn Poem

The days were bright
Warm and long
But now they’re changing
And summer‘s gone

The evenings are cool
And the mornings are crisp
From green to red
Nature starts to shift

Not just the weather
But animals like deer
Also can sense
It’s this time of the year

Preperations and plans
Ought to be done
For they must be ready
When winter will come

The birds and squirrels
Collect nuts for their nests
And the bear has to eat
For his long winter rest

They get rounder
And their furs become thick
To protect from the cold,
So they don’t get sick

The temperature falls
And so do the leaves
The colours are saying
Autumn has arrived indeed
